Next July 4, many men and women serving our country will be overseas. Help them to celebrate with us by sending them letters and patriotic packages. The original Continental Army was created on June 14, 1776, and commanded by General George Washington. The Navy and Marines was founded later that year. They secured our independence and liberties, and our service men and women continue to safeguard them.
